The refurbishment of Wingerworth Parish Hall.
Mascot Management were appointed by Wingerworth Parish Council as project managers and quantity surveyors to refurbish the existing Parish Hall located on New Road, Wingerworth. The existing hall is made up of two buildings, the original building dating back to the early 1900s which houses the current community and library room, and an adjoining extension which was added in the late 1960s comprising of the Main Hall.
Working with the Parish Council, the aim was to bring the Parish Hall up to modern standards which would last into the coming years. Mascot were appointed alongside the Architect and assisted in working up a design from RIBA Stage 1 to RIBA Stage 3.
Externally, the works comprised of recladding the envelope of the building, new roofing, drainage and alterations to existing surfacing to the front of the building. Internally, the works consist of remodelling the internal spaces, new external windows and doors, new internal doors and screens, mechanical, electrical and plumbing alterations, decorations to floors, walls and ceilings, a replacing the existing kitchen.
