Refurbishment of Norton Playing Fields (Sport Sheffield)
Mascot Management were appointed by the University of Sheffield de Project Management and Quantity Surveying services for the refurbishment of Norton Playing Fields, Sheffield.
The project brief was to fully support the design, manufacture, supply and installation of a bran new 3G sports pit to ensure maximum use of facilities made accessible to all. the 3G sports pitch was designed to meet Sports England standards with ancillaries, complete with flood lighting, covered seating area, new changing facilities, carparking, CCTV, drainage and service connections.
The 3G pitch was installed to provide multi-use flexibility and the pitch markings included numerous options; 5/6 a-side football, 11 a-side football and a Rugby League and Rugby Union pitch. This meant that the posts were designed to be easily changed over the different sports to aid the desired flexibility of the site.
