Barnsley College obtained ERDF funding towards the Think Low Carbon Centre (TLC), a new renewable energy and sustainable construction building to provide practical demonstrations for their students and act as a knowledge hub for SME's within the region.
Our Project Management role included the co-ordination of the multi-disciplinary design team, liaising with Yorkshire Forward on the ERDF Application and developing a project strategy to address the project constraints.
The Contractor procurement process was undertaken in accordance with the Public Procurement regulations.
The building achieved a BREEAM 'Excellent' rating. In conjunction with the BREEAM Assessor our role was to identify the actions need and the responsibility for achieving the credits and the on-going management of this process.
