Restoration and refurbishment of former Head Post Office for Sheffield Hallam University's relocation of Sheffield Institute of Arts.
The city centre site comprises the land and buildings formerly occupied by the Head Post Office in Sheffield. The classical stone building fronting onto Fitzalan Square contains the original Post Hall and is Grade II listed.
The building was restored and refurbished for Sheffield Hallam University under lease agreement with the developer. Mascot were appointed by the the University to act as their Tenant's Agent with an overarching role that included:
- Developing and co-ordinating the detailed specification and Sheffield Hallam University's requirements.
- End user briefing to inform the floor plans - comprising open plan, flexible studio spaces.
- Monitoring of the developer's works.
- Co-ordination of the University's fit-out procurement and programme of works.
