James Foster

James is a Director with a wealth of experience in Project Management, PFI, Employers Agent and Construction Management.

James has further broadened his project experience across the industry spectrum over recent years and has undertaken key roles in a number of projects. James is currently working as Construction Manager on the conversion of a former cutlery works into student accommodation in Sheffield.  He has recently completed a PFI scheme in Cheshire for 433 Extra Care Homes across 5 sites in the county, including a wide range of facilities such as communal restaurants, village halls, fitness suites, hairdressers, snoozelans and on site care facilities to the elderly. The construction value of the project was £64m. James was also the Employers Agent for a £2.6m Brain Injury Unit in Ollerton, and the Monitoring Surveyor on the Phase 2 residential development at Wards Brewery (£13m).

Other recent projects include Employers Agent and Project Management roles on the newly constructed Brookfields Business Park at Wath upon Dearne, for a new Printworks facility (£4.5m), a 176,000sqft Industrial Unit (£4m) and the associated new road infrastructure (£1.1m), procured as 3 separate contracts. He performed the same role for the same client for a further 3 Starter Units (£1.4m) on the site, providing 4 units ranging between 7,000sqft and 8,500 sqft.

James was the Construction Manager in a £(confidential) million refurbishment of a derelict Grade II listed coach house to provide a private residence of the highest calibre and was involved in the project from conception through to completion.

Previous projects include the management of private housing repairs under a grant initiated scheme in Keighley and the refurbishment of the main kitchen at Ipswich Hospital, to provide cook/chill facilities.
