Tameside General Hospital, Ashton Under Lyne

Provision of Bid Management services on behalf of the CJV, Balfour Beatty/Haden Young on new hospital facilities at Tameside Hospital with a total value of £70m.

The project is part of the Northern Batch PFI scheme which also includes Salford Hope Hospital.

The project includes a new 16,000sqm Diagnostic and Treatment Centre and a 4000sqm Elderly Mental Illness unit together with a new access road and extensive external works.

Our role was to project manage the submission of the bid from preferred bidder to financial close. There is complex phasing involving demolition of existing buildings and diversion of existing services needed to maintain operation of the hospital before the new build can commence.
