Wards Brewery, Phase 2

Mascot Management were appointed by local developers and contractors J F Finnegan Ltd to assist with the construction of £13m residential development, adjacent to our offices in Sheffield.

The development forms part of the Wards Brewery development that is located in one of the most desirable areas of Sheffield and includes 139 luxury apartments.

Phase 1 of the residential development was completed in 2003 and the 3 buildings that complete the complex provide residential, commercial and retail accommodation. Mascot Management were appointed prior to the works commencing on site, to undertake a watching brief role on the project that involved the monitoring of both costs and programme, with an overall objective to provide further value engineering to the project where possible.

Mascot Management were responsible for chairing monthly progress meetings with the design team and also the main sub contractors, in order to ensure that the programme was achieved. James Foster was the Project Manager responsible for monitoring the works and costs and providing a formal written report to the client on a monthly basis.

The works were completed in September 2007. Mascot Management also undertook the snagging of all the apartments and co-ordinating the handover of the flats to the final purchaser.
