Sheffield Hallam University - Project and Logistics Management

Mascot were employed by SHU to oversee the installation of all loose furniture, screens and equipment to their arts, computer and engineering sciences department.

The department was previously spread over a number of sites in Sheffield and the project was part of the consolidation of the department within the main city centre campus into two existing buildings and a new purpose made building of approximately 9500 sqm spread over 5 floors.

The commission was subsequently expanded to include similar works to 3 other projects within the campus, including restaurant and IT areas.

The works involved, initial liaison with the Estates and occupying departments of the University, contractors carrying out construction works prior to occupation, and various suppliers before commencement of deliveries, programming and overseeing deliveries, reporting progress and confirming payments to the client.

All were carried out to time constraints to ensure the University was operational prior to the new intake of students at the start of the academic year, which reflects our ability to understand, react and work to meet the demands of the clients operations.
