Mylnhurst School - Sports Hall & Swimming Pool

New swimming pool and sports hall at Mylnhurst School in Sheffield.

Mascot Management were appointed as Employers Agent and Cost Consultant on the new swimming pool (25m x 8m) and sports hall which was opened in December 2008.

The project was let as a Design & Build contract with a value of £1.4M and was completed in 9 months. The facilities also include changing rooms and a dance studio. The Architect was novated to the Contractor.

The specification included underfloor heating to the changing areas and sports hall and the swimming pool includes a microscopic layer of alcohol to retain heat and control humidification.

The new building was within the existing school grounds which are within a conservation area with listed buildings.
